Ride report
for Aug. 4, 2007
Well it began with Trouble, his cousin Sticker (that’s his real name),
and Mona, meeting at mine and Pistol’s home in Pearland.
We hung out for a while and headed to the usual pre-ride munchies stop,
Hooters.
I had to wait about an hour on the exterminator to show up at our
house. By the way, he never did. I headed to Hooters to meet Pistol,
Trouble, Robert, his son Joey, and our ride-alongs, Sticker and Mona.
Did it rain on me on the way? Hell yea it rained on me, I washed my
bike didn’t I?
After the usual wings and refreshments, Robert and his boy had to head
home, while we headed to Angleton to meet up with Garfield and
Blacksmith at the motorcycle drag races.
No more rain, but hotter than hell!
The races were alright, but the coolest part was meeting a butt-load of
people from different clubs and associations.
Name the club, and chances are, they were there. They were all very
cool and had lots of great advice and stories. Meeting everybody made
the $20 admission fee a lot less painful.
After all the handshaking and bullshitting, Garfield and Blacksmith
headed home, while the rest of us headed into the big downtown district
of Angleton to grab a late dinner at a Mexican food restaurant.
We munched down, chilled in the a/c for a little while and headed our
separate ways to call it a night.
Laterz,
Riptide
