Bahama MamaWednesday, 27 June 2007 Well, last Sunday, June 27, 2007, Smokin' Joe, and I, Bahama Mama, rode to Huntsville to meet with some current members and officers, and to meet with some potential new members. We met up with the interested parties at McDonald's just off the Interstate in Huntsville and visited and got paperwork done and out of the way. Then we went just down the road to The Junction Steak & Seafood Restaurant where Smokin' Joe had worked during his college days. The group visited while enjoying a good lunch together. For those of you who are not familiar with the area, the Junction is an old Plantation House that has been around for 150+ years. A long time ago, it was transformed into The Junction Steak & Seafood Restaurant where one can get one of the best steaks around. It is a beautiful place to stop and eat if you're ever in the area. After eating, we all decided to head back home, instead of taking a trip to the Huntsville Prison Museum, as originally planned, because many had a long trip home, and the weather was not cooperating very well. However, we are proud to announce that six new members joined the club that day. They are currently forming chapters in the Angleton Area and the Humble Area. If anyone out there is interested in becoming a part of either of the new chapters, or if you would like to join one of our chapters in the DFW Area, the Bedias Area, the Houston Area or the El Paso Area, please feel free to contact Smokin' Joe at sgtsmokinjoe@sbcglobal.net or Bahama Mama at PortLucaya2000@sbcglobal.net for more information.Click on picture to enlarge. |
