Brazoria County Women's Center Fundraiser Report For August 18, 2007

Another good time for a good cause.  There’s a lot of good opportunities to help others and have fun doing it, if you look in the right places.

We didn’t have to look far.  The Brazoria County Women’s Center was holding their annual fundraiser at Scooter’s Icehouse in our hometown of Pearland. 

It started no different than any other event, with Pistol and I meeting up with Trouble for breakfast.  Like usual, Trouble probably slept on his bike and was about an hour early.

We had breakfast and headed up to Scooter’s around 10:00 AM.  We wanted to get there early and expected the rest of the Ghost Riders to be there for an official meeting at 10:30 AM.

Machine, Blacksmith, and Garfield showed up, and Trouble got the meeting started.  We met for about a half an hour.

After the meeting, we checked out the car and bike show, hung out, and talked to several other groups including B.A.C.A., C.M.A., and Lost Inc.

Scooter’s had a great band that day.  There was plenty of barbeque from the cook off to be had, and lots of ice-cold refreshments. 

The fundraiser made more money this year for the Women’s Center than it ever had in the past.

It was great to be able to be part of it.

Oh yea, I forgot to tell y’all.  Did it rain?  Hell yea, it rained!
