Well, generally our association has it's annual Anniversary Party around the first of July. However, due to uncontrollable circumstances, this year we had to postpone the anniversary party, and we also had to have our annual Christmas party a little earlier than normal in order to accommodate several conflicting work schedules. As we all know, work and family situations must come first before fun. And still, as a result of work schedules, we had several members who were unable to attend at the last minute. So, this year's party was rather small, but we still had a great time. As a matter of fact, we were all so busy eating, visiting, fishing, and just having a good time, that unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to take many pictures....sorry about that. We had the party at a place where the members were able to go fishing, target practice, take a tour of the ranch on a 4-wheeler, or do just about anything one could want to do. We used this time primarily to visit and enjoy the fellowship of each other. We enjoyed brisket with all the trimmings, vegetable platters, cheese platters, cheese cakes, cookies, and lots more goodies. There was plenty of food for everyone and no one left hungry, that's for sure. We also had a very pleasant surprise because two of our El Paso Chapter members actually got on a plane and flew across the state to attend this year's party. This was very special and gave us a chance to meet and visit with them. As we all know, Texas is a large state, and it's about 7 hours or more from them to where we were at. So, we glad to have them in our company. Well, that's about it. If you want to know any more, you should have been there!!! Until later, y'all take care and ride safe. |
