On November 17, 2007, I participated in the 1st Annual Teddy Bear Ride.  Smokin' Joe was stuck working, so I went alone.  This was a benefit to help children and others who are victims of domestic violence.  The teddy bears are carried in the police cars and given to children, to try to comfort them, whom they have to remove from dangerous situations.  There were probably close to 50 teddy bears donated (5 of which were from Smokin' Joe and me).  They also raised over $200.00 in cash.  This benefit was also for victims of sexual, physical and verbal abuse.  This is usually children and women, but there have been cases involving men also.  Anyway, this was the first time for this event, and it was a hugh success.  It was sponsored by the Waco chapter of the CMA.  There were a number of other various individuals who joined in and participated and the turnout was wonderful.  It is sad to think that there are so many cases of domestic violence, but there are, and many result in death.  I, myself, am a victim of physical, verbal and sexual abuse, so this really hit home for me.  I was extremely glad that the event turned out so well and took great pride in participating as I can definately relate to this type of situation.  Below are just a few of the over 100 pictures that I took throughout the course of the day.
